Scrumptious dishes to satisfy every palate.

Sticky Squares are a great afternoon treat. 

1 cup brown sugar 250 ml
1 cup honey 250 ml
1/2 cup butter or margarine 110 g
1 tsp vanilla 5 ml
8 cups puffed wheat or puffed rice 2 L

Melt butter in a saucepan. Add honey and sugar and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes. Add vanilla to syrup mixture.  Measure puffed wheat into a large bowl. Pour syrup mixture over puffed wheat. Mix until all the puffed wheat is coated with the syrup mixture. Press into a greased 9" x 9" pan. Let sit until cool. Cut into squares.

1 bone-in, butt or shank ham

1/2 cup Honey and Cranberries

1/2 tbsp dry mustard powder
1 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup canned crushed pineapple
1/2 cup Blueberry Blossom Honey
1 tsp orange zest
1/2 tsp lemon zest
2 cups whole cranberries
1/2 cup chopped pecans

Prepare Ham and Glaze: Prepare ham according to package directions. Mix Honey and Cranberries, mustard and lemon juice in a small bowl. Brush glaze on ham 30 minutes before it’s done. Cook uncovered for final 30 minutes.

Prepare relish: Strain crushed pineapple and mix remaining ingredients except pecans in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then simmer on low heat for 5 min. Remove from heat and stir in pecans. Allow to cool and serve with ham

This is a quick and easy recipe that the grandkids love, so we keep the ingredients in the freezer!

This is cake is excellent served with coffee in mid-afternoon. It's very easy to make and is a quick splash when friends are coming over.

Mix together

1 stick butter
2 ¬? cups soft wheat flour
1 cup honey
1 tsp. soda
3 eggs
2 tsp. baking powder
3 mashed bananas
¬? tsp. salt (optional)
2 tsp. vanilla
¬? cup pecans
1 cup yogurt

Add creamed mixture and yogurt to dry ingredients and beat well. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 inch pan. Bake at 325¬?F for 25-30 minutes. Let cool and frost.

4 oz. cream cheese or drained yogurt
1 Tbs. honey
6 oz cream cheese
1-2 tsp. vanilla

Cream together and whip until fluffy.
